Undefeated Braves: Kamiakin Volleyball Chasing 5th Straight MCC Title

The Kamiakin Braves volleyball program is once again proving why it’s among the state’s best. Coming off four consecutive Mid-Columbia Conference (MCC) championships, the Braves are 6-0 to open the 2025 season and look poised to make another deep run.

Although they graduated All-Conference hitters Kennedy Rose and Abigail Samples, the Braves return a veteran core. The Braves also featured prominently on the 2024 MCC All-Conference teams, led by returning standouts Bailey Vladimiroff (Sr., Setter, 1st Team), Avery Beck (Jr., Libero/DS, 2nd Team), and Keyala Krumland (Sr., Outside Hitter, Honorable Mention). Now upperclassmen, they’ll anchor a squad determined to turn conference dominance into state hardware.

Head coach Morgan Schauble, now in her 10th season, says that experience has built a hungry, motivated group:

“These girls have worked so hard and they all buy in. Our two slogans are all in and family, and they’ve lived that the last four seasons. Now the next goal is bringing home hardware from state,” Schauble said.

Depth and Flexibility Across the Roster

Kamiakin’s depth is a defining strength this fall. The Braves return a large core of veterans and versatile players:

  • Bailey Vladimiroff – Sr., Setter

  • Alexa Bilodeau – Jr., Outside Hitter

  • Grace Hammond – Jr., OH/DS

  • Keyala Krumland – Sr., Outside Hitter

  • Avery Beck – Jr., Libero/DS

  • Mandi Davis – Sr., Libero/DS

  • Delaney Donaldson – Jr., Middle Blocker

  • Reagan Schwartz – Sr., Outside/Middle Hitter

  • Mia Young – Jr., Right Side/Outside

  • Sawyer Dolven – Jr., Setter

  • Camri Wagar – Jr., OH/Utility

  • Olivia Johnson – So., Middle Blocker

  • Afton Evans – So., OH/DS

Schauble emphasized that flexibility is one of the team’s greatest strengths:

“Anytime we play an opponent and need to make adjustments, we can switch positions on the fly. That’s what makes this group so special—they’re flexible and willing to do whatever it takes for the team,” she said.

For senior setter Bailey Vladimiroff, the journey has been about family and culture as much as competition.

“It’s all about being a Brave. We’re here for our teammates, and we really focus on that family mentality. It’s just a great culture to be part of,” Vladimiroff said.

Junior outside hitter Alexa Bilodeau echoed that sentiment, noting the long-term chemistry within the program:

“We’ve been playing together in club since middle school. We’ve all known each other for years, and that creates a family on and off the court,” Bilodeau said.

With another undefeated start, the Braves are confident but grounded. Their immediate goal is a fifth straight MCC title, but the team is looking further—toward districts, and ultimately, the state tournament.

“We’ve gone to state for the past four years,” Vladimiroff said. “Now we want to bring home hardware.”
