San Diego Bayfair will host the final round of the 2026 H1 Unlimited season September 18–20, with six competitive boats entered and the National High Points Championship still to be decided on Mission Bay.
🏆 The Title Fight: Shane vs. Tate
Jimmy Shane heads into the weekend with 5,129 points aboard the U-27 Miss Apollo, holding a 180-point lead over Andrew Tate and the U-1 BWR Racing. Shane won the opening two events in Madison and Tri-Cities before Tate claimed victory in Seattle, keeping the championship race close heading into San Diego.

Corey Peabody sits third with 3,711 points in the U-3 Tahoe Miss, just 109 ahead of Strong Racing teammate J. Michael Kelly in the U-00 Maverick. Both return to a course where they have enjoyed recent success: Peabody won in San Diego in 2024, while Kelly claimed last year’s victory and set a San Diego five-lap heat speed record of 152.818 mph. Their battle for third in the season standings adds another storyline to the weekend.

🚤 Podium Contenders Ready to Crash the Party
The U-11 Miss FLAV-R-PAC and U-40 Bucket List Racing have also shown they can challenge for podium positions. Jamie Nilsen finished third in Tri-Cities and fourth in Seattle, reflecting the U-11 team’s progress in speed and consistency.
Dylan Runne followed with a third-place finish in Seattle aboard the U-40, earning Bucket List Racing its first podium of the season. The work of both crews has helped tighten the competition, and each will look to carry that progress into the final event.
