VANCOUVER, B.C. – The Dust Devils swept all three weekend games in dramatic fashion, proving that this roster thrives under pressure and knows exactly how to capture the “good behind the greatness.”
Friday: A Masterclass in Patience and Defense

The story of the day wasn’t just the final score, but the defensive gems that kept the dream alive. None were bigger than LF Kevin Bruggeman’s 7-2 double play in the 6th, a laser-beam throw to the plate that stopped Vancouver’s momentum cold.
The tension finally broke in the 10th inning. Randy De Jesus turned a scoreless tie into a celebration, launching a massive three-run homer into the Vancouver bullpen. Combined with a three-man shutout from Chris Cortez, Dylan Phillips, and Benny Thompson, the 3-0 victory set the tone for a weekend of dominance.
Saturday: The Two-Out Rally and a Special Homecoming

Saturday’s 3-2 win added a layer of human interest to the box score. Top prospect Tyler Bremner took the mound in his parents’ native land, delivering a poised 5-inning performance in front of a Canadian crowd that felt a little like home.
Trailing 2-0 late, the Dust Devils showed their resilience with a two-out clinic in the 8th. Five straight batters reached base after the second out was recorded. Clutches hits from Peter Burns and Anthony Scull turned a deficit into a lead, while Sam Tookoian slammed the door in a stressful 9th to secure the win.
Sunday: A Seven-Run Statement
To secure the series split, the Dust Devils needed one more burst of energy. They found it in the 7th inning of Sunday’s finale. Down 3-0 and down to their final few chances, the Tri-City bats exploded for seven runs.
The highlight of the afternoon was Juan Flores, who capped the massive inning with a towering three-run home run to left-center. The 9-5 victory completed the weekend sweep.
Coming Home: Bark in the Park at Gesa Stadium
The Dust Devils now return to the Mid-Columbia with a three-game winning streak and a wave of momentum. They open a six-game series against the Everett AquaSox this Tuesday, April 28th.
It’s Bark in the Park Night, one of the community’s favorite traditions where fans can bring their four-legged friends to the stands. As the team transitions into their “Viñeros de Tri-City” identity later this week for Cinco de Mayo celebrations, there’s no better time to head to Gesa Stadium and support the local talent making waves in the PNW.
