The Tri-City Dust Devils brought plenty of fight north of the border, grinding out a hard-fought 5-4 victory over the Vancouver Canadians at Rogers Field at Nat Bailey Stadium. In a fiery Friday clash that featured brilliant pitching early and clutch multi-run rallies late, Tri-City showcased its late-inning resilience to stay firmly in the hunt for a Northwest League playoff berth.

Friday: Olejnik’s Gem & Late-Inning Surge

Starter Peyton Olejnik set the tone early, hurling five hitless innings while retiring 11 consecutive batters before Vancouver briefly took a 2-1 lead in the 6th on a two-run homer.

• 💥 7th-Inning Rally: Tri-City answered immediately in the top of the 7th. After Jorge Ruiz and David Mershon walked and advanced on wild pitches, Ryan Nicholson lined a clutch two-run single to put the Dust Devils back ahead 3-2.
